Hvammur Apartments by the Harbour

Wonderful apartment. Amazing view from the living room. The apartment is very clean and very stylish. There is everything you need. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom is well equipped and everything worked without complaints. The kitchen is well equipped.

Four of us stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment at the property. It has a separate parking area (can squeeze in 2 cars if you are creative) as the apartment is accessed more easily from the road behind the guesthouse. It is a spacious and comfortable place to hang out, with nice views of the harbor and lots of windows to let in the breeze. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment with very comfortable beds. There is a selection of CD's and DVD's in the living room, which we didn't try out but were a nice touch. Also in the living room is a pull-out sleeper couch (not in the pictures on the website) to accommodate extra people. The kitchen is well equipped, with all sorts of things tucked away in drawers and cupboards. The bathroom actually contained a washer (!) and a nice big drying rack, which was a welcome surprise. There are several very good places to eat right there in the harbor, including a "fast food" eatery (think: quaint Icelandic diner-type place with a drive-up window) below near the guesthouse entrance. I had originally booked another place further into town, but I changed my mind and am glad I did as the town itself isn't particularly picturesque and the harbor has boats and a nice long walking/hiking path out to and around Ósland. Great place for a family or group who wants their own space at the harbor.

Great apartment, very comfortable, close to supermarket and city geothermal pool. The little restaurant in the same parking area was great.

Convenient location for restaurants. Short drive off the Ring Road. Two bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor and balcony has a fine view of the harbor. There is a dedicated parking space for this apartment on the same level, so only 2 stairs to access.
